| Powerlink PCI Board for MN and CN Applications |
With the PL-IB300/PCI, IXXAT offers a powerful and cost effective solution to set-up PC based automation systems based on Powerlink.
The board ensures response times in the range of the Ethernet interframe gap, independent of the number of network nodes. The synchronization by the start of cycle frames is done with a jitter of less than 50 ns. Therefore it is possible to operate systems with cycle times of 200 µs or with up to 240 controlled nodes.
The PC board software provides a simple application programming interface with process image to the host application and a control and status interface. Based on that, it is easy to connect PC applications to the Powerlink network, like a soft SPS.

| Module for Powerlink, Profinet, EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP |
With the "Industrial Ethernet Module" from IXXAT devices can quickly and cost-efficiently be adapted to various Industrial Ethernet technologies.
The module is based on an FPGA from Altera and beside an integrated 32-bit CPU and an Ethernet Controller it comprises also the PHYs and th RJ45 jacks. Depending on the implemented Industrial Ethernet protocol, the Ethernet interface is either single routed (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP) or double routed (Powerlink, EtherCAT).
Using the disclosed programming interface to the Host-CPU (Host-API in C sourcecode) the vendor can connect his device easily using SPI or a standardised µC-Interface. The Host-API encapsulates the functions of the real-time industrial Ethernet protocol running on the modul thus the application can be developed independant of the underlaying network. Additionally protocol specific features can also be used by the application.
With the optional available baseboard the modul can directly be connected to processor modules from Phytec (phyCORE-XC161und phyCORE-LPC2294) or Spectrum Digital (eZdsp F2812). Therewith this solutions is very suitable for rapid prototyping.
